Jiaqing Chen

I am currently a Ph.D. candidate in VADER Lab of School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence at the Arizona State University, supervised by Dr. Ross Maciejewski (starting August 2022). I did summer internships at Machine Learning & Analytics Group (2023, 2024) and Usable Data Systems Group (2025) of Lawrence Berkeley National Lab, supervised by Dr. Gunther H. Weber, Dr. Michael W. Mahoney, and Dr. Daniel Gunter. I got my M.S. in Computer Science from University of California, Riverside, supervised by Dr. Ahmed Eldawy, in March 2020.

My research interests include Big Data, Scientific Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Interactive Machine Learning, AI for Science, Topological Data Analysis and Visual Analytics. My committee members are Dr. Huan Liu, Dr. Hua Wei and Dr. Kookjin Lee.
